Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
