Major Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
The country's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were injured while inhabitants in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and dealt with problems to water supplies, as stated by city officials.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different assault in the southeastern region in the southern area, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has increased attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has requested "substantial measures" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the major economies - in delivering protection systems and applying sanctions," mentioned in a online statement.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and more than 30 projectiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were striving to restore power.

A wave of strikes struck energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the city endured significant strikes throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child lost their life and multiple civilians were hurt.

The strikes follow periods of aerial attacks in the region, sections of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

The entire country is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to detect.

National leaders told the media that Russia was intentionally trying to demolish the national power system, with assaults already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were bracing for further attacks.
