NFL Recap: Denver Narrowly Beat Struggling Jets in Low-Scoring Battle

During a defensive struggle this weekend, the Denver Broncos managed to secure a 13-11 win over the winless New York Jets. Signal-caller Bo Nix connected on a first-quarter scoring strike and kicker Wil Lutz kicked the game-winning decisive three-pointer to seal the ugly win.

Dominant Performance Seals Contest

Despite registering nine sacks versus Jets QB Justin Fields, the Broncos found themselves trailing 11-10 after conceding a two-point play in the third quarter. Interestingly, the Jets managed just 82 offensive yards throughout the entire game.

Nix, who completed 19 of 30 attempts for 174 yards, engineered a critical 12-play, 65-yard drive that culminated in Lutz's short kick with approximately five minutes remaining.

Record Difficulties for Jets Attack

In spite of their dismal performance, the Jets still had possession with a chance to score a possible victory. But Fields was sacked on fourth-and-eight from the Denver 44 after head coach Aaron Glenn opted to attempt the conversion instead of calling on kicker Nick Folk for a difficult kick.

The Jets quarterback struggled throughout, completing just 9 of 17 attempts for 45 yards. The Jets ended up with negative ten passing yards, the fewest in any contest since 1998.

"Our passing game was non-existent," the coach stated after the game.
